I ran across a small ebook with a grand title The World's Shortest Excel Book. At only 29 pages, the book is designed to cram the things you need to know into an easy-to-read electronic book (Adobe Reader .pdf file).
Richard Kraneis, the author, matches the book with a series of videos to guide you through the book, too. Richard sells his ebook and video sets on his web site for a total of $24.95.
You can buy the book, only, if you prefer for $19.95. Whether you buy anything or not, his web site gives you an opportunity to sign up for 52 weeks of the short task-focused Excel videos -- free videos! So, you can get the videos slowly, or buy the book and videos for a total of $24.95!
Both ebook and videos are available by electronic download (you will need a high-speed connection for the videos). If you don't have a high-speed connection, you can purchase them on CD for $49.95.
Richard has sample videos on web site, too. I'm impressed, and I think you will be, too.
I lasted two weeks on the newsletters before I decided to buy the book and videos.
