Question:
From time to time my IE window does not open maximized, but rather part screen.Than one day it is back to maximized. It is currently part screen again. My OS is XP sp2, and IE6 Is there a way to force it back to maximize, and stay that way? I right clicked on the IE icon in the task bar, and under properties it is set to maximize.

Ed,
IE will remember the size and location of the window the last time you had it open.
When you shrink a window and then exit IE, it remembers that shrunken size and position for the next time it is opened.
To set your size, open IE. Adjust the window size to the size you want, then close IE. Now it will remember that size.
Now, open Firefox and do your web surfing with it. Firefox similarly remembers window size and placement, but it is much safer for your surfing.
