Internet Conference Calls

We've had the ability to do conference calls by telephone for a long time. Many phone packages, especially cell phone packages, enable you to do conference calls with little effort. And, now that we have Internet Telephony available, we now can place our phone calls — and our conference calls via the Internet!
One service offers a cool product called GoToMeeting.
GoToMeeting gives you the ability to hold as many meetings as you want for one flat rate. This "internet conference call" allows you to chat privately with individual meeting participants or the whole group, to instant message, to use your PC screen to demonstrate to the group — and many more functions.
Other meeting participants don't even have to have the same software that you're demonstrating. If you're demonstrating CAD drawings, you've got the software on your computer, but they can see the results, too.
For businesses, this can be a huge savings in travel costs. Plus, you can eliminate those overpriced video conference calls with all the fancy equipment — if you want -- or hold part of your conference in a video conference room at the office and other parts elsewhere - with individual participants or with other video conference rooms.
