That’s the good news.
The bad news is that it’s scary.
I’m not sure that it really says anything new, but it is very open about all the data that Google gets on you when you use any kind of Google services — and that’s a lot.
A little on the "plus side," many of the articles I’ve read report that all these same things are collected by the major retailers and major service providers — and that the big difference is that Google is making a very clear disclosure of what they get and how they will use it, rather than burying the information in broad generalities.
