I’ve been using Giganews for my Usenet news source for a few years now, and have been very pleased with the service. They keep adding to their retention time on articles and see to have all the newsgroups that I’ve ever visited.
But, Giganews has been expanding their service packages at the same time — adding more and different functions.
I’ve got the Diamond account, which originally gave me fast access to their huge archive of messages.
Giganews added a personal private VPN (virtual private network) service to their capabilities – and included it in the Diamond account.
They’ve added free online storage, too. Not the 2GB that some sites want to "give" you so you’ll upgrade to a bigger package. Giganews give you 30 GB of free secure online storage as part of the Diamond package. Giganews uses 256-bit encryption to secure your data transfers to & from Giganews and while the data is stored.
Right now, as I write this in August 2012, they’ve got a 3-month introductory special on their Diamond service — you can get it for 50% off.
They make the ViprVPN and online storage available as add-on’s for their less expensive packages (add-on’s means that they’re extra cost).
Disclosures: Giganews provides me with a complimentary Diamond account. The above link is an affiliate link which can give me a commission if you purchase one of Giganews’ services after using it.
