CounterSpy — Viewing the Scan History
I use and recommend the anti-spyware / anti-adware program CounterSpy, by Sunbelt Software. CounterSpy provides both periodic scanning and an always-running "Active Protection."
One of the nice features of CounterSpy is that it will allow you to look back at its history of each scan. Not only can you find the dates of the scans, you can see what it found, read more about what it found, and see what disposition was made (ignore, quarantine, remove, etc).
The first diagram below shows you how to get to the history. Click on View, Spyware Scan and View Spyware Scan History.

At this point, you can select the individual scan that you want to examine. Then, click "View full details of scan..."

The last image shows you the Scan History Details of that individual scan. It tellls you what it found (here, a Com.com cookie), information about that items, a "more information" link for that item, and the Status (here, "Deleted"). Finally, it shows you the path or registry entry where it found the item.

Click here to get a free, full-function 15-day trial of CounterSpy V2 from Sunbelt Software web site.
