Subscriber E.J. wrote with questions about Windows 7, as he works with his new computer:
Is there a way to get to the screen saver panel without typing in screen saver in the search
for Windows 7?
I wrote back to E.J. to walk him through another route to the Windows 7 Screen Saver.
Right-click on the Desktop.
In the address bar, click on Appearance and Personalization
In the Personalization section (the first grouping), select Change Screen Saver
E.J. wrote back to report success:
I just got my wife a laptop with Windows 7 and I don’t know anything about it….trying to learn and I did what you said below and it was easy…tks again
Of course, one of the big features of Windows 7 is the concept of a Theme, instead of just a screensaver.
When you right-click on the desktop and select Personalize, Windows 7 opens the Themes dialog box. With it, you can select a different theme (or make your own). You can also click on the “Get more themes online” link to find more free themes at Microsoft.com.
