1.  Firefox 2.0 Printing Bug Shows Up

This week, several subscribers wrote me emails like this one from Tommy Minton:

Terry, am using FireFox. This morning I have tried to print your newsletter in a variety of ways. I went to the online site and opened it. After a very short time the subscription window came onto the screen over the page. The top portion was missing ( the area with the X in it that lets you close this little window.) It was if several lines were missing. The only way I could get around this was to hit the Reload button, then I got the page without the subscription window. I then tried to print it and got the first page printed and that was all even though the Print is set to "ALL".

I then went to the archives and pulled down this weeks edition and hit file, print, Ok and again got the front page printed but that was it. I then painted the article "HOWTO: Writing Files to CD's with Windows XP" and hit files, print, selection, Ok and got 2 pages but they were each blank except for the "Terry's Computer Tips" header. I checked with HP and the driver they list is the driver I have installed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Tommy

Unfortunately, as I told Tommy, I don't have a solution for this. Firefox is doing the same thing for me.

I'll have to say that this is a Firefox bug. It seems to be happening on every page of my site, not just on the newsletters.

However, Opera and IE are both printing these pages properly — just not Firefox 2.0. (I don't know about earlier Firefox versions, as I don't have them installed any more).

Looks like you'll have to come back to read the page when you want to read it! Be sure to bookmark.

Maybe they'll get it fixed soon.
