3.  CounterSpy SuperCoupon Sale

Last week, I finally got around to reviewing CounterSpy (although I've been using and recommending it for a long time) and I included the CounterSpy review in my online newsletter.

The timing was perfect -- and accidental.

This weekend (Friday Sept.22nd through Monday Sept.25th) Sunbelt Software is running a special sale. You can get CounterSpy for $7 off until Monday (September 25th).

Use coupon code KICKOFF7 to get the $7 off -- you have to use the coupon code at the time of the order, and there's a limit of one coupon per order.

If you haven't tried the free trial, download CounterSpy quickly and give it a try. But, remember that the coupon sale applies to the Purchase, not to when you download the trial.

Don't miss this opportunity to get $7 off the regular $19.95 price (or $7 off one of the multi-computer deals!).

I use CounterSpy on my family's computers and on my notebook (my "work" computer).

For a long time, I kept using Microsoft Anti-Spyware(beta) and then the renamed Windows Defender(beta) on my desktop, so I could see what it offered. But, I finally got frustrated enough that I uninstalled Windows Defender.

This is my chance to grab one more copy of CounterSpy.

4.  Comments from Readers and Subscribers

After my Special Edition newsletter to subscribers on Friday (where I told them about the $7 off coupon sale on CounterSpy), Peter Killick wrote to say:

Hi Terry,

Just a quickie to thank you for your e-mail about the Counterspy $7 off promo.
I downloaded the free trial, did a scan and cleanup with it, and was so impressed with the results I went on and purchased the product immediately.

There's so many of these things on the market I had been completely undecided for quite a while; I respect your opinion which certainly helped me make up my mind.

Best regards, Peter

Don't remember where I heard about Foxit Reader, a slim fast pdf file reader. But I had gotten tired of Acrobat Reader taking forever to load, wanting to access the internet, then leaving a process I had to kill. Really like Foxit, quick to open and leaves no process behind, at least if you don't let it put itself in the startup directory, etc. Foxit is free for personal use.
