1. Feedback on the New Terry's Computer Tips Site Design
This week, I finished a redesign of this Terry's Computer Tips web site. I announced it in a Special Edition newsletter to subscribers and asked for comments and feedback. Here are some of the comments I received.
Jack Carmena wrote to say:
It looks great, but the link to your computer tips and articles is not as prominent as I would like it to be. It didn't jump out to me like the other stuff at the top. I like the page on computer tips and articles as it categorizes them so it is easy to find what you need. Keep up the good work.

After reading Jack's email, I set up a much better Site Map (About This Site / Site Map) that gives all the same information as the navigation bar. But, it displays it in a much more readable format. Using CSS styles, the same code that displays the indented bullet list in the Site Map can (and does) generate the navigation bar on each page. That makes it very easy to maintain the file.
Jim Hamm wrote, after some initial problems that turned out to be with an adblocker he was running,
Very interesting. Your website, and wording, is fine.
Scott Adler wrote
Like your new format very much.
Daniel Mata wrote to say
Hi Terry,
A quick note to say that - although I found nothing wrong with your "old" site, I really like your new one. Congrats!
Daniel,

I also got several positive comments that were in other mailing lists, so I'm not going to quote them.
If you like the new site, let me know. If you have suggestions, let me know them, too!

What is happening to NetscapeŽ Mail?
In order to provide you with the best free webmail service, Netscape Mail is being upgraded to the more robust AIMŽ Mail service*. The transition will take place August 25th. Your e-mail address and login process will remain the same. The look and feel of the service will change slightly, but all the features and functionality you have today will continue.
