Hi, I’m Terry Stockdale. My Terry’s Computer Tips web site is home to my free weekly email Terry’s Computer Tips newsletters as well as my many articles (over 1,200 at this time!).
The Terry’s Computer Tips email newsletter is published for free to anyone who chooses to subscribe. Some newsletter articles will later become articles on the web site.
Site and newsletter article topics range from home networking to wireless to Internet to Internet Security, to software and more. My writing of computer tips began through the creation of handouts that I developed for workshops I have taught at a local computer club. These tips include subjects such as Windows XP, “bugs in the background,” home networking basics, wireless networking, computer security, wireless networking security, spyware/adware/malware, and free/alternative software.
The Terry’s Computer Tips web site went live during May, 2004, although some of my tips had been published on my hobby site before that. My first email newsletter was published on June 20, 2005, and was later joined by an online newsletter in web page format. As of April 30, 2011, the most recent weekly issue was Volume 6, Number 46 — 307 issues! Even that is a misleadingly low number, as for most of those years, I published both an email and an online newsletter – with different content! Some weeks, I even sent Special Edition newsletters, too.
On June 13, 2010, Terry’s Computer Tips celebrated the completion of 5 years! June 20, 2010 was the beginning of the sixth year of my Terry’s Computer Tips newsletters. Most of the earlier newletter articles are now individual articles on the site.
I hope you will enjoy my site, using it to learn more about your computer and to solve your computer problems. I also hope you will help support my work by making your Amazon.com purchases via my TCT Amazon Store. Or, you can go directly to Amazon.com.
